RITUALS Rituals are symbolic acts that acknowledge the deeper meanings in our lives; our connections with each other, with our culture, with God and /or the sacred aspects of existence; they can be elaborate or simple. Popular marriage rituals are ones that represent the binding of two lives together and honour family connections. Some examples are: I honour both the darkness and the light in ceremony. Our imperfections are what make us loveable, vulnerable and human. By acknowledging these you enter into married life in full awareness of the things that you're working on as well as the wonderful, blissful, deep connection and understanding you both share. Bringing our imperfections out in the open doesn’t give you more ammunition for each other, it allows you to find ways to work together to enable you to both win; overcome your shadow sides, perfect your souls and become self mastered individuals. “Relationship is surely the mirror in which you discover yourself” Krishnamurti Close this window |
